Bernadette Chapman launched Dream Occasions at the end of 2002 following a successful 10 year corporate career in London. Based in Coggeshall, Essex, the company designs exceptional events in East Anglia for professional time short clients. In 2007 & 2008 she made it to the finals of the prestigious Wrapit Wedding Awards, recognising excellence in the industry.
Experienced
Bernadette is well known throughout the industry for her immense knowledge especially when related to the weddings. She has featured on TV and Radio as well as numerous national publications, past weddings have been seen in Cosmo Bride, You and Your Wedding and An Essex Wedding.
Diversifying
In 2008 Bernadette went into partnership with her husband Paul to launch an event hire company, which provides a range of products from the practical to the stylish. This is a personal service for customers in East Anglia as every order is delivered in person, no couriers are used.
Knowledgeable
With nearly 10 years as a full time event planner the knowledge Bernadette has amounted is immense. Fellow planners frequently call upon her for advice and moral support. The company has also become respected for their expertise in the logistics involved in marquee functions.
Pioneering
Recognising the need for a professional organisation of wedding planners in an unregulated industry, Bernadette co-founded the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners in 2004 and is the Training Director. The UKAWP actively promotes professionalism within the industry and all members comply with a code of business practice. In addition they train approximately 80 planners a year and run specialised workshops and seminars.
