Bernadette Chapman - launched Dream Occasions at the end of 2002 following a successful 10 year career in London. Based in Coggeshall, Essex, the company designs individual and stylish events in East Anglia for discerning clients. In 2007 & 2008 they made it to the finals of the prestigious Wrapit Wedding Awards, recognising excellence in the industry.

Experienced - The director Bernadette has featured on TV and Radio as well as numerous national publications, past weddings have been seen in Cosmo Brides, You and Your Wedding and An Essex Wedding.

Professional - As part of her dedication to the wedding planning industry Bernadette founded the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners (www.ukawp.com) and is now the Training Director. The UKAWP actively promotes professionalism within the industry and complies with a code of ethics. In 2008 she was approached by ICS home learning to write a new correspondence course for them, this has now been written and is available to purchase.

Diversifying - In 2008 Bernadette went into partnership with her husband Paul to launch an event hire company, www.dreamoccasions-hire.co.uk which provides a range of products from the practical to the exquisite. New for 2009 is Bernadette’s work with the Colchester NSPCC business branch, primarily organising their annual glamorous ball which raises a considerable amount of money and increases the profile of the NSPCC.
